Cookie Cutter Christmas, Gingerbread Boy, Christmas Card

The placement of the bow from under the chin to the head makes this cute gingerbread boy become a girl!!  As simple as that!!! LOL

I love making these "Z" fold cards. You just cut your card stock in half on the short side.  Then you fold that piece in half.  And for that "Z" fold, you fold the front panel in half.  The edge is folded to the left (or center folded edge).  I use glue dots to hold the front fold shut.  Some people leave them open and other's just cut off that flap, but then it's no longer a "Z" fold, it's just a card with a half of a front!.  Either way you do it, it's still a fun fold.

I used the knitted texture folder to make the piece in the front. I did sponge the edges on all my Whisper White pieces.

I die cut a circle and a Real Red scallop.  The base of my card is Crumb Cake. Then a layer of Real Red was added.  Before I added my large layer of Real Red, I die cut the circle from it. No one is going to know that the red layer has pieces cut out of it.  It seemed like such a waste to cover the card stock when I needed a circle of red from it!!  So I got my circle cut and the layer put on and no one is the wiser!!

I set the gingerbread boy in place using Dimensionals.  I taped the bow in place.  I did glue the circle in place on the front. I find it difficult to get the tape to stick on textures, especially one as deep as the knitted one is.

This was a very fun card to make and I'm REALLY going to miss the "Cookie Cutter Christmas" card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
