This is the perfect time of year to learn a new technique like this! A paper folded Christmas tree. It's a very easy technique too!
I took the largest circle framelit die that Stampin' Up! has and cut a piece of decorative paper. One circle makes 2 trees. There's no need to measure to find center, just fold the paper in half and firmly burnish. Then fold it the opposite way and firmly burnish that side. Repeat a couple of times and then the paper will tear easily.

It's super simple and so cute. I do like how these instructions show you how to trim up the bottom. I think it makes the tree look more level. even and straighter. You can see those instructions here.
This is the technique I am going to use for the swap next week. I'll share my finished card with you when I get it done!
