An In the Meadow and Flourishing Phrases Masculine Sympathy Card and Sponged Panel Technique

I have not done a sponged panel card in a very long time.  I used my square dies to cut out the center of a piece of card stock so I could use it as a template.

I used post it notes and wrapped them from the front to the back to hold the frame template in place.  Then I sponged the ink on. First I used Soft Sky and sponged the whole area in. Next I used Marina Mist and sponged from the top to somewhere near the middle.  And at the very top I sponged in some Pacific Point ink.

I removed the mask and stamped the trees from "In the Meadow" set.  That is a set I have not used as much as I had hoped to when I bought it.  I usually buy a couple of masculine sets because I never seem to have enough masculine cards in my stash, let alone masculine sympathy cards.

The words are from the "Flourishing Phrases" set.

I found this fun card at "Really Robin Stamps."   And as usual I did change it a little.  Of course the sky part will always be changed, there's now way to make the two exactly the same.  And I added a White Enamel Dot that I colored in with a black Sharpie marker, instead of a button.  I didn't order any of the current buttons.  I'm trying to make do without.  I have so many retired things here that I need to sell. UGH!!  Oh, and there's two more fun cards on that site using the framed template.  I am going to make one of them and when I do I will share it with you.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
