While surfing for something else on the internet, I ran across this fun card. I LOVED the black and grays in this card. The original card can be found here at Danielle's "Mrs. Brightside" web site. I changed it a little. She used Washi tape on her card. I didn't buy the black Washi tape. Though I do like it but I doubt I will be adding it to my wish list. I have a ton of Washi tape that retires before I can use it all up. I don't need anymore right now. So what I did instead was I added black Baker's Twine to the front of the card. I also changed the focal part of the card.
I used the birthday greetings from the "Wetlands" stamp set. I used the oval circle and scalloped Framelits on the words. I set them in place using Dimensionals.
This is a pretty simple card to make and I just LOVE the grays and black. The lacy leaf looking thing was stamped using Soft Smoke. The "coffee rings" image was stamped using Basic Gray ink. The dots were done using Memento black ink. I stamped the words in black.
I think I would like to do this in another color combo sometime. I have a feeling I won't be parting with this card, I REALLY like how it looks!!!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
