Today I thought I should play with the "Happy Home" stamp set and "Hearth and Home" Framelits. I got the Framelits at Christmas time and had fun with the set that accompanied it. In the new 2016 Occasions catalog the "Happy Home" set came out. There's some fun images to play with in it. I've just had too many things to play with lately and I am getting through all the fun sets. I think I have one or two more to open and play with and then I can pick my favorites and play with them until I wear them out or until you get sick of seeing samples!!! NEVER!!! LOL
I found this fun card on Pinterest. It was made by Amy. You can see her card here. I used some decorative papers from the 6" x 6" "Love Blossoms" paper stack. I LOVE those little stacks. I know, I say it every time I use a paper from it. But it's SO true! They're such a good value for the money!! I have yet to use a pack up. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes I think it's bad because that meant I used up my favorite papers. But yet it's good that I did use them up! I am a paper hoarder, so it's difficult to use them all up. And as I look at the packs of retired paper, I tend to lean towards it being a good thing to use them up!
Anyway, let's talk about this fun card. It was super easy to make. I guessed at the size of the decorative paper band. Mine measured 1-1/2" x 3". I die cut the window. Then I stamped and colored the image. I cut the image a bit smaller than the window so I wouldn't have any ugly edges showing. I glued the window to the stamped image piece. I set the window in place on top of the layers using Dimensionals.
The greeting is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set. That set has been around for a while and I have a feeling that it will be retiring along with the "Word Window" punch. I hope not. That word set has greetings covering about every occasion throughout the year!
This was a fun and quick card to make. Blender pens are easy to work with and make coloring go quickly!
