Tonight I am participating in a technique swap. Back in December, at the last technique night we learned this fun "Peek-a-Boo" technique. It's super easy to do and ever SO cute. I've seen a several done making the center cut longer so more of the right side is open for larger wording. I've also seen the left side made smaller leaving the right side over half exposed. It's the way the corners are folded back that make the technique so fun, adorable and effective.
For my card I used the "Love You Sew" 2016 Occasions Hostess set. I stamped the buttons using Wild Wasabi ink. I punched them out and then set them in place using Dimensionals. I stamped the scissors and fussy cut them out. That part wasn't as fun but when you have a good movie on tv it's okay!!! LOL
I colored the blades of the scissors with the Smoky Slate marker. I slid one tip behind the fold and taped the scissors in place. I thought it would give it the look of those scissors cutting the paper back. I wanted this set because of scissors image. I thought it was "sew" darn cute!!! LOL
The decorative paper I used is from the "Love Blossoms" 6" x 6" paper stack. I needed to make 9 cards for this swap and there wasn't enough of each color so I ended up making 3 different ones. I liked them all, but this one was my favorite.
You can find this fun technique here.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
