Today I wanted to play with the Hexagon punch. I am thinking that it will be retiring soon. It's one of those punches I don't play with much at all.
I used the multi-colored dotted paper from the "Birthday Bouquet" 12" x 12" decorative paper pack. I punched out the hexagons and then taped them on a piece of Mint Macaron card stock. I trimmed each edge. I didn't care much for that part but I REALLY wanted a border around the hexagons. I made 5 of them! I set them in place on the left side of the card using Snail tape.
The flower is Blush Blossom. I sponged the edges before I assembled it. I set it in place using a Dimensional. I added a couple of Mossy Meadow fern leaves and an enamel dot in the center.
The words are from the "Sky is the Limit" set and they were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink.
This was an okay card to make. I don't think I will be making another one and I don't think I will be too sad if the hexagon punch retires!!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

a little bit of work for a BEAUTIFUL card!
This is a gorgeous card and I hear you about the work involved. I made a couple with this punch but I punched out the outer color and then used my embossing folder with the DSP and fussy cut the inside of the hexagonal shape. It didn't look half as nice as yours! I am going to try, yet again, to make one like yours! TFS.
