This card could be used as either a dad's birthday or Father's Day card. I found this card while surfing the net and traced it back to "StampWithPeggy". I have been working my way through all of the stamps I got and this was one I hadn't played with yet.
What drew me to Peggy's card was mostly the colors. I LOVE these colors together. What I also like is that it can be either a Father's Day or birthday card because the words don't pin it down to one or the other.
I used the World Traveler" embossing folder, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla card stock, and a brayer to make the background. The paper is from the "Going Places "paper stack. There's SO many fun images in that stack. I am excited to play with some of them with the "Open Sea" set.
I stamped the globe image on some of the decorative paper too. I like the look it created. Then I punched it out with the 2" circle punch.

The yellow dotted strip was set in place with Dimensionals. The globe piece was taped on top of that but one Dimensional was added to the top to keep it level. Then the words were set in place with Dimensionals. The other layers were just taped in place (no Dimensionals).
I just love the looks of this card. I wish I would have found out that the big dipper that Peggy had on her Very Vanilla background was in the "Going Global" stamp set. I should look at all of the images in a set before I start stamping!!! Oh well. I still like the card the way it is.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
