I found this fun card on Pinterest and I thought I would give it a try. It's close enough!! I should have cut the strip piece thinner. Mine is cut 1-3/4" x 3-3/4". If I were to make another one I would cut it 1-1/2" instead.
I took that strip and taped it on the card with removable tape. Then I stamped the tree. I removed the strip, layered it and taped it in place. Now the smart thing to do here would have been to stamp the leaves first!! Did I? No!! I stamped it right on card front. I got a little of the Cajun Craze color on the front but I managed to make it work.
My leaf colors are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze. The tree was stamped using Chocolate Chip but it looks more like dried out Early Espresso. I had to recheck my ink pad and it is Chocolate Chip but it's not the correct color. Hmmm. I may have to order another ink pad. Or I may just get an inker and rinse out this pad. I've done that before. Just make sure you allow it to dry completely before you add the ink. I think I left mine for 3 days. Not because it took that long but I was busy doing other stuff and I forgot!!! LOL
The leaves here are from the "Perpetual Calendar" set. The tree is from the "Sheltering Tree" set and the words are from the "Happy Happenings" set.
I thought it was a fun and simple card to do. And quick too!!
