Today I am going to share with you the card I made for the swap tonight at Terri's Technique Tuesday night. I like this technique but it sure is a lot of work and time. Perhaps it's the theme I chose or I was slower than normal because the TV was on, I don't know. I just thought 9 cards took a long time to make. When I make cards that take a lot of time, I always feel sand when I'm completing the last one and thinking I wished I would have made more. But then I come back to reality and am happy that I'm done with the project!!!
For my card I used the "Happy Scenes" set, the Window die, Decorative Dots embossing folder, and the Seasons of Cheer decorative paper.
I stamped the trees using Night of Navy. I sprayed a mixture of distilled water and Marina Mist ink over the area, masking off the snow on the ground. I glued it to the back of the window. I set the window in place using Dimensionals.
I textured the Night of Navy background and added a piece of decorative paper at the bottom. I covered the seam with some ribbon. Then I taped the piece onto a folded half sheet of Whisper White card stock.
On the inside I worked the technique. You can find the instructions for that technique here.
I stamped some snowflakes from the "Happy Scenes" set on the inside panel. And I also used the word "Peace" from the same set.
I liked making this card but I was really happy when I was done. I can't wait to share with you the swaps I get tonight!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
