My sister had purchased some stamp sets and a few weeks ago she had left them with me to play with. I played with them for a while and then returned them. This "Your Presents" set was one she had in the bag but I didn't play with it because it just isn't me. She was leaving for a few days and I asked her if her stamp sets needed someone to babysit them. This was one of the sets she included in the bag, she said she'd like me to play with it because she's stumped on what to do with it. GRRRR!!!
So today I thought I would take out the set and see what I could do with it. I have not played with the presents yet but I'm just taking it slow!!! LOL I'm just not inspired by this set. But I will play with it a couple more times to try to get something better. So I'm hoping that the next few cards I make with this set will be better!!! Keep your fingers crossed!!! LOL
To make this card, I used a folded half sheet of Real Red card stock. I added a piece of the striped paper from the "Home for Christmas" 12" x 12" paper pack.
I used the star punch and added a piece of silver glitter paper behind it to make them sparkle. I just punched the stars and then trimmed the one end to match the end that went inside the punch. I glued the layers together, I don't think tape holds well with glitter paper.
I stamped the word "joy" using Real Red ink. I punched it out with the 2" circle punch. I punched a 2-1/2" circle of silver glitter paper. I glued the two together. I stamped the top of the bulb image using Smoky Slate and I fussy cut it out. I glued it onto the glitter paper circle. I set that layered circle in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. It's a quick card to make. I hope my sister likes it!!!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,

I really like this card. Simple and pretty darn simple except for the topper for the ornament, can't say I would do any fussy cutting that small. It does make me want that stars punch. Another one to add to the list of punches I want.
