Tunnel Card Technique Birthday Card

Today's technique comes to you from Terri's Technique Tuesday group.  This was a super fun technique to do.  I was able to play along and had a great time!!

To do this technique you will use two 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" sheets of card stock.  The "window" piece is scored at 2-1/8", 4-1/4" and 6-3/8".  Next you will need to use a Thinlit for the window piece.  The 3" x 4" oval was used on this card .  The oval was centered over the center fold of the inside piece.  Before folding the outer piece, stamp your words or image.  Color it if necessary and then you can fold the card in half.  Tape only hte left and right panel of the window piece to the base piece.  Now you can decorate the front as you wish.

This is a very simple technique.  I LOVE the card that Terri came up with.  We embossed the butterflies on the inside piece.  It was folded in half and then embossed through both thicknesses.  As for the front, that piece was cut 4" x 5-1/4" and embossed almost all the way to the top.  A ribbon was tied on and then the butterfly with rhinestones on it was set in place with a piece of Dimensional. Did you notice the butterfly on the inside?  We had to be careful where we put it so it wouldn't stick out the right side of the card when the card was closed.

Wouldn't this make a lovely wedding card?

There, now you have it!  Make yourself a Tunnel Card

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
