A Gorgeous Grunge Serene Silhouettes Birthday Card

I was looking at some cards that I had pinned because I liked the layouts or the entire card itself and I ran across this one.  It was made by Becky at Scrappin' and Stampin' in GJ.    I don't know what the GJ means.  Also, I searched the blog for a little while trying to find the card to give you a direct link but I had no luck and I ran out of time.  There's some nice card samples on the site so it is well worth your time.

My card is extremely similar.  I did not have the same decorative papers so I used what I had.  I did not have the words image so I used the lines image from the "Gorgeous Grunge" set.

The butterfly image is from the "Serene Silhouettes" set.  And the words are from the "Wetlands" set.

I used Melon Mambo for my colors.  Mostly because it was the only color in ribbon that I had that was current.

The circle in the large Whisper White card stock piece were punched using the 1-3/8" circle punch. After I punched the two of them out I added some Melon Mambo dots.

The butterfly image was punched using a 1-3/4" circle punch.  For the top circle, I stamped the lines image on card stock and then cut it out into a 2" x 2" square and set it in place on the back using Dimensionals. The dotted circle is a piece of decorative paper cut 2" x 2" and set in place using Dimensionals.

Next the ribbon was added.  I cut a piece of ribbon and taped the ends to the back of the card stock.  Then I cut another piece and made a bow.  I set the bow in place using a glue dot.  The butterfly piece was set in place using Dimensionals.  Then Dimensionals were place on the back of the Whisper White piece and set in place on top of a folded half sheet of Melon Mambo card stock.

This was a pretty simple card to make!  I like it!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
