A Flower Shop Pop-up Birthday Card

These pop-up cards are very fun cards to make, and they are not difficult either.  There are a lot of pieces to them but they are SO worth it.  This is the card that Terri had the gals make for her August Technique Tuesday class.

To make this, you score a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of card stock at 1/2, 2, 4 and 5-1/2". Decorate the 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" section of the card base (front and back).  The front of this card has the Hardwood image on it  and the back has flowers and words (bottom photo).

Add Sticky Strip to the 1/2" section - fold piece up (at 5-1/2" score line) with the 1/2" piece folded under, and adhere it to the front of the card.  Folding that piece helps you see where that 1/2" piece will be attached, plus it gets that piece exactly where it needs to be to be square.

Score a 5-1/2" x 3" piece of card stock at 1/2" and 2".  Decorate the bottom panel as desired.  Add Sticky Strip to the front side of the 1/2" piece and to the bottom back side of the opposite panel.  Stick the bottom panel to the bottom of the card base and the 1/2" piece to the front of the card.  This will form your pop up. Now embellish the rest of the card as desired.

It is very simple and fun to do!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
