A You've Got This Wetlands Birthday Card

It just dawned on me that I don't emboss very much at all anymore.  I don't know why, I like doing it and I like the looks of it when it's done.  I guess I just have too many other things I like doing better.  Or it could be that there are only certain things that look nice embossed???  I don't know but for today I do know that I like embossing this flower in gold and I like how it turned out against the Basic Black background!  I  used my VersaMark pad and stamped the image on the card stock.  Then I sprinkled the gold embossing powder.  I heated the powder from the back side of the image.  I have found that I tend to blow off too much of the powder when I emboss from the front.  Once it's melted enough, I will come in the front and finish the melting of it.

I used Crushed Curry Designer Series Paper Stack (12" x 12") and Crushed Curry card stock for the round scallop layering the words.  The words are from the "Wetlands" set and were stamped with the black Memento ink pad.  That pad ranks right up there with the black StazOn, except this ink washes off the rubber nicely!

I set the flower layered panel and the word layered scallop in place on the card using Dimensionals.  It gave the simple looking card some depth.

I do like how this card turned out and I do like how simple it was to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
