I don't know why I don't use the Bermuda Bay color more. It's such a beautiful blue!!! I was playing around with some scrap pieces of Bermuda Bay decorative paper and one thing lead to another and the next thing I knew I was layering them with Basic Gray card stock. SO I had these two layerd strips waiting for an idea to come. I was looking at my worktable and there were the "happy Birthday" words stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. It was stamped crooked so I got another piece of card stock and stamped it straight. I like how large the words were. Now I had 3 panels!!
I had seen a card that had 3 flowers layered. I didn't have the base flower so I took the flower from the "Crazy about You" set and stamped it using Bermuda Bay ink. I decided to go with that flower mostly because it had a punch! I wasn't in the mood to fussy cut today! I used the "Flower Shop" set for the second flower and the "Petite Petals" for the smaller flower in the center. I set that smaller flower in place using Dimensionals. and added a crystal rhinestone to the center. I did color the top two flowers in using a blender pen and the Bermuda Bay ink pad.
I added a dotted textured background that was layered with Basic Gray and set on the Bermuda Bay card base. I do like how this card turned out and it's a whole lot prettier in person!
This was a simple card to make. Layering does take a little time, but it's SO worth it!!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
