I have another Mother's Day card to share with you. If you haven't made your mom a card, you don't have much time left to get it done! So that means you will need a quick card. Today's card is very quick to do.
The decorative paper is from the Lullaby pack. I used Tempting Turquoise as a contrasting color.
The butterfly is from the Butterfly Framelit set. Every since I found out to use waxed paper on these types of dies, I am just LOVIN' them!!! I have cut out lots of butterflies. It's so easy and quick. Just remember to not let too many layers of waxed paper get built up in the die. I wasn't paying attention and the next thing I knew, some of the spaces weren't cutting out all the way. I thought maybe I wrecked my platform or even the die. But no, it was just full of waxed paper. Once I removed the layers of waxed paper, it cut clearly again. I did save those layers of waxed paper. They were smashed to hard together that they came out as one very thick piece. I'm going to use it on a card sometime!!! Nothing goes to waste here!!!
I did have a lot of fun making this card. Ok, not a lot of fun according to the clock. It was fun making this card and it was a VERY quick card to make. SO in the time it took to make this card, I did have fun!!! LOL
The words were done on my computer, layered and set in place using Dimensionals. I wanted to use the scalloped circle punch (as I almost always do) but it wouldn't fit in the area nicely so I just went simple and only had the one thin layer. I do like it!!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
