I've been having some fun with this Big Day stamp set. I thought it would be fun to combine it with the Bokeh Technique. You can find a tutorial on ow to make the background here at Split Coast Stampers. When I did mine, I sponged in the colors instead of wetting my paper. I didn't want to mess around with wet paper and I didn't want warped paper. And, the technique worked out just fine!
I used the Big Day set for the cake. The words came from the Hey You set. I added some sequins for texture and more depth.
I colored the cake using a blender pen and Coastal Cabana and Lost Lagoon ink. The words were stamped using black Memento ink.
The base of the card is Lost Lagoon, then a layer of Basic Black and the Whisper White with the Bokeh Technique on top. This is a fun technique. I did use my heat tool to help the white ink to dry faster. And on a few of the circles I reinked them because I wanted them VERY white.
Look up this technique on the net. It originated in the photography field and has crossed over to the stamping field! Have fun with this technique.
Thank you for stopping by today,
Wanda
