Today I thought I would have some fun playing with a new technique I had read about and saw a video on. It showed you how to use your framelits dies and dryer sheets to help remove all the pieces in the die a bit more easier. SO after watching the video, I took notes and today I gave it a try.
You are to use your die on your card stock as usual. Then run it through your Big Shot. Next you leave the paper in the die and run it through your Big Shot again but this time you use 4 sheets of dryer fabric softener sheets. SO I did what I had seen and I followed my notes. My pieces of paper did not stick to the dryer sheets. They did come out okay but they didn't stick to the sheet. I was to be removing my die from the dryer sheets not the framelit. So perhaps I wrote something down wrong. Maybe I was to fold the 4 dryer sheets in half. I thought it said a thickness of 4 but I could be wrong. I'm getting old and forgetful!!! I will give it another try sometime soon and I will use 8 thicknesses and see what happens.

SO onto my card. I used the Hexagon Hive die and Whisper White card stock. I taped and glued it to a piece of Lullaby decorative paper. Then I added a layer of Pistachio Pudding. And finally, I set that all in place on top of a folded half sheet of Pistachio Pudding card stock.
Before I set the hive layer in place, I did stamp on it. I used the thank you from the Hey You set. And I shuffled over to my cupboard and got out my Stamp-a-ma-jig so I could get the words to fit in there just right. I LOVE it that those words fit on that white area!!
And to finish it off I stamped out a butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set and I punched it out. I set in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. It was a fairly easy and quick card to make. Though I am not so fond of the butterfly. I should have made a darker one so it would show up better. But it is what it is!!! You can improve on it for me!!! LOL
