Endless Wishes Christmas Card

I took out the snowflakes from the "Endless Wishes" stamp set.  I didn't look at the other elements in that set or I would have noticed the fun "Merry and Christmas" images that I could have used  on my card.  Though I did kind of have my heart set on something a little fancier!  The words I used came from the retired "Hand-Penned Holidays" set.  I find it difficult to part with word sets.

I stamped the snowflakes in a mixture of Soft Sky and Pool Party ink.  Now I'm saying a mixture because I went to reink my Soft Sky pad and I had used Pool Party inker.  I have never done that before and I was a bit shocked when it dawned on me what I had done.  SO I reordered a new Soft Sky ink pad and inker.  UGH!!!

The card stock used here is Soft Sky.

First I stamped the words and then the snowflakes.  I taped the ends of the ribbon to the back and then I taped the layers together.

I have a fun tip on how to make fun bows like that.  You take something to tie the ribbon around.  I had used a round glue bottle.  I tied the ribbon around the glue bottle, keeping the ribbon as centered as possible.  You do need to tie it in a knot for it to stay.  Then remove the ribbon from the bottle.  You now have a circle tied to the ribbon.  Find the center of that circle and cut it. You can trim the edges to match and make sure they are even.  I think mine area a bit too long and when I'm done posting this I will be trimming them a bit shorter.  To affix it to the card, find the knot.  The knot is the center of the ribbon.  Wrap the long ends around the card and tape them to the back.  Once you do that you will be able to tell if you need to trim up the edges from the circle you made.  See, very easy to do!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
