I found this fun card at Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie. And no, I have not been camping out at her blog! Though she does have a lot of wonderful posts there!!!
I love making masculine cards. I just never seem to find or create enough of them. And when I do find one that I REALLY like I just HAVE to make it!!!
I love how Frenchie used the Lullaby decorative paper for the water bubbles in the background of the fish. And yes, I did have to fussy cut the fish. I HATE cutting things out by hand. Now that tells you how much I liked this card and wanted to recreate it. I did not want to make it a thinking of you card like Frenchie did so I opted to make a birthday card. I used the Wetlands set for the words and the By the Tide set for the images.
I colored the fish in using a blender pen and ink pads. I just kept adding fun colors until I thought it was colorful enough. I think it turned out well. The fish was set in place using Dimensionals.
When I cut the bottom wave, I just cut both the card stock and the decorative paper at the same time and then I trimmed the tops of both to fit. I find it easier that way than cutting one and trying to get the exact same curve so they fit together. The first time I did it was because I was being lazy!! LOL Now I do it because it works!!! Go figure!!!
You can go on over to Frenchie's blog and see how she made hers.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
