Oh my, what a botched up mess this was. And of course I share it with you!!! Always! They can't all be winners now, can they?
I was surfing the net and found this pretty sponged edge card and thought how fun and perhaps easy it would be to make. I will say that I did have fun, and the sponging was easy, it just didn't turn out the way the original card did. I tell the gals who come to my home to stamp, when they don't like the card they made because it didn't look like the sample, "don't compare." I don't take my own advise very easy!!! I REALLY did like the sponging on the original card.
The original card can be found here and from what I could see it was made by Kate. Or it was pinned by Kate. I'm not sure. But it is there and it is very pretty!
I used a different kind of flowering stem for mine too. I used the "Summer Silhouettes" set and the words are from the "Wetlands" set.
The colors I sponged on the Whisper White piece are Pearl Pizzazz and Pacific Point. And I used those same colors on the flowering stems. I used a scrap piece of Pacific Point card stock for the oval scalloped punch and the words were stamped using Pacific Point ink.
I misted the sponged colors before I stamped the flowers but that didn't do much either. UGH!!! I'm disappointed in this card. It's one of those "Monet" cards. It looks better from further away!!! LOL
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
