Every now and then I run across a stamp set that I have not used in a very long time. The "Timeless Talk" set is one of those. I still like the set but it just doesn't come to mind like some of the other sets do. So today while looking through the current stamp sets that I have, I saw this one and thought I would make a card. I sat for a while thinking of what to make and drew a blank. I don't work well under pressure!!!
This record player image called my name so that would be the one I would use. I inked it up with black StazOn and stamped it on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I trimmed up the piece and then I layered it on a piece of Basic Black card stock. Next I just sat there wondering where I was going to go with that piece!!! Seriously I was at a loss. I dug through my stash of finished pieces and found the embossed striped piece and found it to be perfect for the background layer on my Basic Black card base. I was going to use just a plain piece of black behind the record player piece and then it dawned on me to use some of the decorative paper in the Neutrals pack. I don't use those papers much either! No wonder I have huge stashes of stuff around here!!! Anyway, I layered it on a piece of Basic Black card stock and set it in place on top of the striped background piece. The record player piece was set in place using Dimensionals as well as was the Modern Label piece. The words are from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set (that I was thrilled to see was still in the catalog, I use it a LOT!). I added 3 of the Real Red Candy Dots to the record player and it was done.
This is a super quick and easy card to make! Plus it was fun too!
