I was SO glad to see that "Vivid Vases" made it to the new catalog. I had bought the set but had not used it. I found a card to CASE (copy and study everything) here. The card was featured using the new Blendabilities. I do not have any of them, though I do have quite a few Copic markers which are the same thing. It's matching the Stampin' Up! colors that is the problem. So I thought I would go with the markers and a blender pen. It's pretty but it does not do it justice like the original card is. The colors are more vivid and they blended together much prettier. I am going to save for those pens!
So lets talk a bit more about my card. After I got done coloring them I layered the image on a piece of Basic Black card stock. That was then set in place on a piece of Daffodil Delight decorative paper and the base of the card is Whisper White. I added a knotted piece of red ribbon. And that was it. It's a very simple card to make and I do know for a fact that using the Blendabilities markers goes a lot faster than using a blender pen and markers or ink pad. Plus you don't have to clean the pens when you are done, like you do with a blender pen.
This was a fun card to make. I love to color once in a while!!! I like how bright and cheery this card looks but when compared to the original card it's not so vivid!!! But I still like it and will use it sometime down the road!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
Wonderful Card! I really like this stamp ad have plans for several cards using the complete stamp as well as masking off a vase on each side or two on a side...so many options.
