I LOVE the "One Sheet Wonder" technique. It's the one where you take a full piece of card stock and stamp all over it. When you are done you cut it into pieces for your cards. Here I used Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake ink. You stamp on the image and then stamp again without re-inking. It gives you a nice muted look in between the open spaces. I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" set to do this.
Then I stamped the flower. I used the "Summer Silhouettes" set with Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizzazz ink pads.
The words were done on my computer. I usually print out a full sheet of them and punch them out using the 1-1/4" circle punch and save them for when I need to make a quick card or when I need words to fit in one of these types of circle layers.
This was a very quick card to make. Now I have some extra backgrounds from the "One Sheet Wonder" page I made and I have some extra " Happy Birthday" circles in my stash!!! I'm ready if I need a super quick card. It's always good to have a stash. You can find some fun things in it that you didn't think would go together!!!
This was a fun card to make. I like the colors but I'm not crazy about them. They remind me of fall and I'm not ready for fall yet. We just had the worst winter here in Minnesota and I actually said (out loud) that I hated winter! I have never said that in my life! So I'm going to head back towards the fun spring and summer colors for a while and I will ease into the fall colors as the season approaches. Or unless I find a card that I just HAVE to make and it has fall colors!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
