I found this card made by Becky at Scrappin' and Stampin' in GJ. I thought it was too pretty to pass up. I did have some trouble with the homey comb die. The paper kept getting stuck in it and when I would try to get it out, no matter how careful I was, it would rip. GRRRR. So after some experimenting I ended up using a piece of glossy card stock and I was able to remove that without any problems. But the experimenting didn't end there. I discovered that if I added a piece of copier paper first and then my decorative paper, I was able to remove the decorative paper in one piece. And I left the copier paper stuck in the die so I can just use the papers I need. I have not experimented with that yet. I just know that a piece of copier paper first allowed me to remove the decorative paper with no tearing. Let me know if that works for you. Be sure you remove all the pieces that pop out first.
Ok, back to this pretty card. I took my glossy card stock with the honey comb design on it and used it as a stencil. I sponged on the Daffodil Delight. Then I stamped the lines and dots from the Gorgeous Grunge set. I used black StazOn for that. I used the butterfly Sizzlit die and cut out the butterflies using Basic Black and Daffodil Delight card stock.
I used the Modern Label and Word Window punch along with the Teeny Tiny Wishes set for my words. I set the black butterfly and the Modern Label piece in place with Dimensionals. I added some rhinestones and I taped that focal piece to a folded half sheet of Whisper White card stock. My focal piece was cut 5" x 3-3/4".
I think it's a very pretty card. I like how the stenciling looks. I've always been fond of stenciling.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
