A Petite Petals and Hardwood Birthday Card

I am totally stepping out of my element here by using gray. It's not my first color of choice. Actually, it's WAY down on the list!!!  I had a piece of the Hardwood stamped in Smoky Slate that I used on a card a couple of days ago and I thought I should use it.  I was inspired by a card I found by Becky at  Scrappin' and Stamping.  Sorry, it's not a direct link to the card.  I don't know how to do that on her website.  I can't just click the date of the post and copy the info over.  So you are just going to have to scroll down until you see it.  It's her May 21, 2014 post.

I stamped my flowers using Crisp Cantaloupe and the leaves were punched out using the Bird Builder stamp and Pear Pizzazz card stock.  I added some of the Candy Dots to the center of each flower.  I thought I should use them. I bought them last year and have used less than half of them so I figured I would be good for another year!!!  I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals and then I added the leaves behind them.

The words are from Teeny Tiny Wishes, a set I was SO glad to see didn't retire!  And I set that in place on the Modern Label punched piece.

This was a very fun card to make and even if I had to stamp the Hardwood background (instead of having a piece already stamped) it would still be a quick card to make. Oh and did I mention that it was easy too?

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
