Well, I think I found it. I think this may be the card I'm going to give my mom on Mother's Day. I am SO loving the colors and they layout.
I had to laugh when I was hunting for my Chevron punch. I was looking for a regular looking punch. See, that just tells you how often I used that punch! I couldn't even remember the look of it. After spending about 10 minutes looking for it, along with putting some stuff away that should have been put away a long time ago, it dawned on me that it may be one of those longer punches, and it was. SO after finding the punch I went to work on this fun card. I found this card at Krista's Stamp Spot. The only changes I made to the card was the long dotted strip and the words. Oh and the tiny little pearl in the upper left corner. I just had to!!! Other than those minor changes it's a pretty close copy of Krista's beautiful card.
The base of the card is a half sheet of Soft Suede folded in half. The next layer on top of that is Pistachio Pudding and it was cut 4" x 5-1/4". Then the Whisper White layer is added. It was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".
I used a small scrap piece of the Neutrals decorative paper for the long strip. The Chevron punch was used on a Soft Suede scrap to make the three big arrow looking pieces. Those were set in place using Dimensionals. The flowers were stamped using Pistachio Pudding and Soft Suede ink pads. The lighter flower was stamped off using Soft Suede. You don't really have to stamp off. Just stamp the dark flower and then with the little bit of ink left on there stamp the lighter flower. As simple as that. The flowers were set in place using Dimensionals and pearls were added to the center of each flower, plus the little on in the upper left corner. Oh but before I added the flowers I stamped the words from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.
And that is it. It was a very quick and simple card to make too!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
