Petite Petals and Off the Grid Thank You Card

Seriously, this card is much prettier in person.  I REALLY need to either get or make a light box for taking photos!  But you get the general idea of this card.  I got my inspiration from the card I did yesterday (using a frame with flowers) and from a card I found at "Downstairs Designs".   I loved the white embossed "Off the Grid" grid.  And sponging on the colors so the grid popped was a very nice effect.

The colors used here are Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight, Pistachio Pudding, and Coastal Cabana.  Black StazOn was used for the words. Oh and the stamp set used for the words was "Teeny Tiny Wishes."

The flowers were stamped using Coastal Cabana and the "Petite Petals" set.  And then they were punched out.  I LOVE stamp sets with matching punches!!!

The frame is from the "Designer Frames" folders.  I cut it out (yes, by hand!  I know, it nearly killed me!!! LOL) and the inside was also cut out.  The first one I did I punched it out but it ruined the inside edge of the frame so I had to make another one and I cut the center out by hand.  UGH!!!  So much cutting!!! LOL

The frame was set in place using Dimensionals.  The top and bottom flower were glued in place.  I opted for glue because I thought that taping it would squish the frame once I pressed the tape down to get a good contact.  Then the center flower was set in place using a Dimensional.  I didn't press down hard on it, just enough to get it to stick.  And there was also a Dimensional directly under it so I wasn't too worried about the "squish!"  I added Candy Dots to the center of each flower.  I can see that my "thank you" is  a bit crooked but I am looking at it like this - "it's a handmade card!"  Plus I've seen some store bought ones that are not perfect too!  And they cost a whole lot more than the ones I make do!!!

I used the Envelope Board to round my corners and I set the panel in place on top of a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock using Dimensionals.   And that was it.  It was a pretty easy card to make and I can see myself making more of these!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
