I saw this Valentine's Day card on Pinterest and just HAD to remake it. And of course I did change it a little bit.
First of all, my card is in English!!!
My heart is done using the polka dot Real Red decorative paper. And it appears in the photo that my vellum is not as white. Though in real life it looks ok. I added a small black heart to the red heart. The original card used a star. It was pretty but I thought since it was for Valentine's day I would use another heart.
The words here are from the "Delightful Dozen" set. I added a Real Red heart to cover the black dotted heart. I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" set for the splatters and splatter dots, and for the black angled stripped strip.
I also layered the front of the card. This was not intentional but out of desperation. I had ruined 2 cards prior and decided I would first make a card front and attach it if and when it turned out. You know what they say, "Third time is a charm!" This was my third attempt and this time I didn't get any of the edges of the stamp on my paper. I did turn the images upside down to ink them and that helped out a lot. Once I got the card front done I used Dimensionals and attached it to the folded half sheet of card stock. Kind of a waste of paper but so was ruining them!!!
This card was fun to make (once I got past the mistakes part). I SO love using the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set. It can give a card a lot of character!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
