My sister came over last night to play in my workroom and she brought her new stamps sets with her!!! Lucky day for me!!! I wanted this Santa stamp but I didn't order it. I had too many other new ones that I will hardly play with. So as she was doing the things she came over to do I was stamping some Santa images to play with later. Then it dawned on me that I should look for some samples that I would like to make and see what color of ink I should use on the set. And then I ran into this card! I just LOVED it. I think it's the half doily that really caught my eye. Well, actually the whole card is wonderful but there are parts of the card that caught my attention the most. The half doily is one and the dotted paper is the other. And once it's all put together you get an adorable card!
I found this card here. And I knew I just HAD to make it. We didn't have the same word stamp that was used on the original card so my sister suggested we use the one from her new word set. I don't know the name of that set. But I do know that Santa came from the "Santa's List" set.
The base of this card is Chocolate Chip, as well as the ink used. The Real Red piece is cut 3" x 4-1/4". The dotted paper is from the "Season of Style" paper pack and was cut at 1-1/4"x 3-3/4". I clipped from the edge to the center to form the ribbon look. The paper doily was cut in half and placed behind the red piece. The Santa was cut out using the 3-1/4" circle die. The circle was sponged and then taped in place. Such an easy card to make.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
