Once again I find myself scrambling to find a masculine card I like. SO I bought the "Wetlands" set so I could make more masculine cards. I had made a card at Terri's Stamp a Stack a while back that used the "Wetlands" set and I knew I would have to get that set sometime. And that time finally came. The set arrived last week but I have not had a lot of time to play with my new stuff!
This card is NOT my design. I found it at "Julie's Stampin' Spot" blog.
I used Basic Black card stock for the base of the card. Sahara Sand for the layer and Garden Green for the textured strip. The texture is from the new "Pretty Print" embossing folder. I embossed a 1/4 sheet of card stock and I figured I could use it to make another card later. I was going to make two cards, one for the person it was intended for and the second for my stash!!! Gotta keep adding to that stash!!! LOL
I didn't make my card exactly like the one on Julie's blog but it's close. I did make a mask for the bird so I could get the shafts of wheat on the background. I saved my mask inside the case of the set so it could be used again. The bird image was set in place using Dimensionals and everything else was just taped in place.
The words on the card are also from the "Wetlands" set. Such a deal, huh? It's a quick and simple card to make and PERFECT for the guys!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
