Here's a fun weekend project. I took a small 2-1/4" x 4" notebook that I had gotten at Oriental Trading a long time ago and I thought I would dress up the front of it.
I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the drops of liquid image on it. Then I stamped some Daffodil Delight dots all over it and finally I stamped the grid from "Off the Grid". I used VersaMark to stamp it and then I embossed it using gold embossing powder.
Next I mixed up some Tempting Turquoise and rubbing alcohol and sprayed a little of it on the paper. While that was drying I took out my Washi tape and decided what colors I was going to use and cut a very thin strip of Tempting Turquoise card stock. I got out my candy dots and I was ready to add the tape. I wanted to give the card stock a little time for the alcohol to evaporate.
I stamped the word "notes" on the top corner. It was from a stamp I had made via Stampin' Up! a few years ago. Next I taped the piece on top of the notebook. Then I added the tape and the turquoise strip and then the dots. The dots did not want to stick to the tape so I used Crystal Effects to set them in place.
For the final touch I added the yellow gingham Washi tape to the spine of the notebook. It was exactly what the notebook needed. It was finished! SO simple and so quick too!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
