My card today is not one of my better works. I had seen a layout like this and thought I would give it a try. I'm not a big fan of it!!
The set I used today is the "Best of Birthdays" set. Part of the 25th anniversary celebration that Stampin' Up! is having. Each month there is a different "Best of" theme. Last month I got the "Best of Halloween". I am going to be making another card using that set but first I want to make one using the "Best of Flowers" set. It has the Hydrangea and also the Upsy Daisy image. These images are a smaller version of the original one. I like them smaller!!!
So back to today's card. I used the "Gingham Garden" decorative paper. The words are from the "Express Yourself" hostess set. It was an easy card to make but like I said, it's not one of my better works. I just felt like I didn't know where to go with it. I could have added a dry embossed layer and maybe that would have given it a bit more depth. It's lacking something!

I like a cas card. I might add a couple of more flags at different levels to get a pop. maybe one on dimentionals. it's nice to see different styles of cards and what does and doesn't work. don't get discouraged. play on!
I like this card but I do think that a embossing folder would have perked it up alot. Still a great card.
