Six-Sided Stampler Card

I found this fun hexagon card at Margaret's "Fun Stampin' with Margaret" blog.  I have been struggling with this stamp set and punch.  I don't know if it's because I'm just SO into the Flower Shop set and punch that I can't see beyond that right now.  But I have been surfing the web for samples and I haven't found many I like.  I'm just hoping the set is too new and not many samples have been created yet.

This card caught my eye because of the colors and I do like the layout of the hexagons.

The colors of ink used here are Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Calypso Coral.  The cardstock colors are Pistachio Pudding for the base of the card, the next layer is Calypso Coral and Whisper White on the top that was dry embossed using the Stripes folder.

The cardstock flowers are from the Blossom Party Sizzix die and the center of the flowers were made using the Simply  Pressed clay and mold.  I got my clay to dry faster by setting it on a piece of tulle that was taped to an open container.  The air flows around the whole thing and helps dry out the clay faster.  I was able to glue them to the card about an hour after making them.

The hexagons were set in place using Dimensionals.  The words are in the Six-Sided Sampler set.  I stamped them and taped them in place before I punched it out.  I didn't want to try to match tips.

This was pretty simple to do.  Now I just need to figure out a fun layout myself!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
