This card is made using a couple of stamp sets. The flowers are from the "Fabulous Florets" set, the words are from the Blooming with Kindness set and the flower in the background is from the "Flower Garden" embossing folder.
I found a card similar to this on the net about a year ago and I had saved it in my "Fabulous Florets" folder and it took me this long to get it! Actually, I had forgotten about that folder and when I did see it I found TONS of fun cards I had downloaded to make someday! I just liked this card because it looked easy to do and the flowers on the front made it look just busy enough to be fun! And it was!!
I used some retired ribbon to hide the piece of card stock with the words on it. The original card wasn't like that. And I'm sure the one who made the original card cut the card stock the right size first and then had room for the words. Apparently that would have been the way to go. But it wasn't how I did it. I stamped the flowers all over the card. I was having a lot of fun doing it and I just kept going. After I realized the piece was too long I cut it to size and then cut a piece of card stock to fit at the bottom. I stamped the words on it first and then I taped it in place. Yup, got smart on that one and did the stamping first. I knew if I taped it in place and then stamped on it I would have gotten it crooked or smeared!!! I know how I operate!!! LOL
After adding the layer behind the focal piece and the ribbon I added Dimensionals and set it in place on the card. This was such a quick card to put together too. I made two of them. One I used some Bravo Burgundy card stock that I left.
Thanks SO much for stopping by today,

Very pretty card, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteI have the flower set but not the folder.
I will try and make a card similar, but different.
