I had bought the download for the "Bordering on Romance" set. I wanted the real set but just couldn't swing it on my budget. So buying the download is almost just as good. There's a few things I can't do with it that I can do with the rubber stamp but I didn't have great plans for this set so it's ok.
I colored in the flowers with Daffodil Delight. The leaves were colored in with the soon to retire Certainly Celery. I'm going to miss that color. After coloring I punched out the image and then I used the Sizzix die and cut out the scalloped circle.
I added a punched ribbon on top of the decorative paper that came from the "Summer Smooches" pack. Another fun pack of paper. Since summer is not that far away (though you couldn't tell it by today with a winter storm hitting us) I can make a few summer cards before these papers retire. And of course I will share them with you!
The little "Happy Day" words at the bottom are from the "Cio Baby" set. And punched out with the new matching punch. It was the first time I got to use those two items. I need to play with this new stuff more before they retire. Though I have a feeling these are going to be in the new catalog.
This was a fun card to make. I was in the mood for coloring so I found this fun! And I must say it was a very easy card to put together too. I'm all for fun and easy too!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
This is so pretty!! Love the color combo you used. Great idea to buy the download...I'll have to check them out since there are so many sets I want and I certainly can't buy them all either!
