Oh my, isn't this card SO pretty? I saw it on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I did change it slightly but not a whole lot.
I made this card for my cousin for her birthday but I think I'm going to keep it in my stash. When I saw it on Pinterest I REALLY liked it and when I finished making it, I still liked it. So I think it's going to go in my stash of card samples and I'll just have to whip up another one for my cousin. I'd better get a move on it, her birthday is in a couple of days!!!
I also got to play with the "Finishing Touches" Edgelets. I've had them for a while and not used them. UGH! What's up with that? I think it means I just have WAY too much "stuff".
I have a few other sets that I need to play with too. A couple of them are Sale-A-Brations sets and they will be retiring at the end of this month. Maybe I'll make my cousin a card using one of those sets!!
This card was very easy to make too. First I took the Whisper White card stock and used the Edgelet on it. Then I cut the piece to measure 5-1/4" x 4". Then I taped a piece of decorative paper measuring 5-1/4" x 1". What a perfect way to use up scraps of decorative paper! Now is the time to stamp the words on (like the one on Pinterest was done. I didn't, I was trying to figure out how the butterfly was to be punched that I totally forgot. But it worked out. I like the way the words are done on here but I think I should have done the scalloped oval piece in the Pirouette Pink. But it's stuck on there with Dimensionals and we all know how great those things stick! So it's going to just have to be green!
Once the butterfly was punched, I drew the antenna in. A couple of small butterflies were added. They were made from the butterfly Sizzlet. Pearls were added to the butterflies and the top layer was put in place on the Whisper White card stock base.
It's a fun card to make and easy. Easy enough to make another one for my cousin but I'm not going to! LOL I will come up with something else.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
