I have a friend who was in a car accident and I thought I would send her a card to cheer her up. With all the snow and cold here, butterflies seem to be a nice way to send a "warm" greeting. Spring IS just around the corner. You all know how much I LOVE winter but I'm SO ready for this one to be over.
This is a very simple card to make. First you take a half sheet of card stock and fold it in half on the long side. Then you take a piece of white or vanilla card stock and cut it (after you dry emboss it) to 5-1/4" x 4". Then find some decorative papers that you like and punch out 3 butterflies.
The white strip is cut 1-3/8" x 3" and the layer behind it is cut 1/4" larger. The three butterflies fit perfectly on that strip with their wings touching. I set them in place on Dimensionals.
The words are from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set and they were punched out using the Word Window punch. That piece was set in place using the Modern Label punch. And that is it. So quick, so easy and pretty too!
Now to get it addressed and ready for the morning's mail.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
A very cute, cheerful, butterfly card, Wanda. It looks perfect for a get well card. I love the colors - kiwi-type green is one of my favorite colors. Thanks so much for sharing.
