While snooping around on Split Coast Stampers I ran across this pretty card and I just had to make one!! After all, I did have all the "stuff" to do it! You can see the original card here.
This is a very easy card to make too. I just took a half sheet of Whisper White card stock and folded it in half. The decorative paper was cut 2-3/8" x 3-3/4". Then I cut a piece of Whisper White 2-5/8' x 4-1/8". The Night of Navy layer behind it was cut 2-3/4" x 4-1/4".
I didn't have a big corner rounder so I rounded the corners using the 1-1/4" circle punch. Just turn the punch upside down so you are looking at the cutting side. Slip the card stock in between the "blades" and punch the corner. You punch a corner on the base of the card and the two layers.
The "ribbons" at the top are cut 5/8" wide. I didn't measure the length because you will need to make them long enough to reach the area you want to reach on the front and fold some over on the back. You will need it long enough to fold it over and be able to tape or glue it in place.
The butterflies were made using the Sizzlet. I have used that butterfly Sizzlet so much that I may need to replace it. It's showing a lot of wear and I'd hate to have it break and not be able to get another one.
The words are from the "Made for You" set. It's a cute little set that has 3 stamps in it. The birthday one, a thank you and an especially for you one. I don't use the especially for you one much. Actually I don't think I've used it at all.
Anyway, back to my card. I added the button and a bow made of hemp and that was it! Very simple with a touch of elegance!!! I think it was the layout of this card that I liked the most.
Ok, now you know how to make one. Get busy and give it a try!!! LOL
I thank you so much for visiting today,
Wanda
Wanda, I love this card! I copied it in hopes of making one myself one of these days. I don't have the background paper that you use, and I don't have the stamp or the butterfly, but I will use what I have to do something similar. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
