I found a card on (of course) Pinterest that used strips of card stock on it. I liked it and repined it to one of my boards there. Today as I was looking through the stamping board I created I saw this card and I immediately thought of the "Faux Paint Chips" technique. The card on the link I have added resembles paint chips more than this one does. On the other card the colors of card stock are next to each other. Here there is space between but it's still a graduated color scheme which is what paint chips are. So I think it could still fall under the category of the "faux paint chips", don't you agree?
This is a fun card to play with. I think it would be a lot of fun to use the bright colors to make it a kids birthday card too! The original one is done in. You can see that card here. Funny thing about it is, the card I found was also found by that person on Pinterest. Though she did not leave a link to the original designer, so if you know who made this card, please let me know so I can give that person the credit they deserve.
The wording used here is from the "Bring on the Cake" stamp set. This is a very simple, quick and fun card to make!

what a cool idea. i think i could handle this. paint chips and i don't agree. last time i picked out a beatiful pink for my bathroom. as i painted the walls it got funnier and funnier looking. so for ten years now i had pepto pink walls. my friends laughted at me to no end. a couple of years back i wanted to paint the bedroom a soft peach. i told my husband no way was i picking the color, if i did it would probably end up international orange!
