The Open Sea set is one that I do like to play with and it's great for making those elusive masculine cards. It seems that there are not very many masculine stamp sets or many masculine cards.
First I want to tell you that I did set the pieces straight on this card. This time it was the photography that is off! I know, it's usually one or the other with me!!! But you get the general idea so it makes it all ok!
I found this card a while back at Stamping with Lynn but I don't know the date it was posted so if you want to compare the two you'll have to scroll through her posts to find it. It is worth the stroll, she has some fun cards on her site. I will tell you that my card is a little different, only with the larger Night of Navy circle. I used too big of a circle. Lynn's card looks like the circle was another 1/2" smaller in diameter. But it's ok, it still creates the nautical look and it is pretty close to her card. I didn't have the right size circle so I just made do with what I had. It's been a theme with me lately.
Well, I'm off to open up the Stampin' Up! order that came yesterday. My sister ordered a lot of fun stuff where as I ordered ribbons and other essential things. Plus a snowflake die! But she ordered things to play with and she is not here to claim her stuff so I'm going to play with them and tell her they came that way!!! LOL When I play with her stuff (especially without permission) I usually give her the things I make with it. So I'm off to dig in the box and have some fun!
