Many, many years ago (and I'm not going to tell you how many!) I had made this card for my mom. I'm guessing I was in first or second grade. My sister was going through stuff my mom had saved over the years and this card was in it. So she thought I would get a kick out of seeing it.
The paper feels like a thicker copier paper. At first I thought it was construction paper but it's too thin for that. UNLESS they made it thinner back then!! Well, now that I think about it, it must be thin construction paper because the rest of the card is made with the same thickness paper. Hmmm, interesting!
Ok, so on the front of this lovely card we have an obvious tulip! I'm assuming the card was done in the spring. The glue has held up nicely so I'm assuming I had used glue and not paste!
Here's the funny part. See the inside of the card. Well, where the words are, that is not on the backside of the flower. It is on the other side. The card opens backwards. LOL But what is really funny about that is I still (now and then) make cards that open wrong!!! Old habits die hard!!! LOL And thinking about the theme of the card and the wording on the inside it must have been for Mother's Day. Funny!
I put this card in a plastic card sleeve to save for when my child has to go through my stuff and finds it. Though I will be adding a note to it so he doesn't think he made it!! LOL
I just thought I would share this precious find with you all!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
