As I was blog surfing I came across this bright and pretty card. I needed a get well card and this card had such a cheery look to it that I knew if I made it and gave it to my friend that it would brighten her day. It went out in the mail this morning so I can't tell you if it brightened her day but I'm pretty sure it did.
The original card was made by Jennifer at Northwest Stamper. I was looking for another card she had made that I saw on Split Coast Stampers. It's a cute card that I thought would be fun and quick to make, plus it's one I know my sister would love because of the bright colors. I think this is one my sister may like too but she's not getting one!!! LOL
I was trying to be frugal with my decorative paper here so I cut it into thin strips and taped the strips behind the Daffodil Delight card stock. It gives the appearance of being one big sheet behind the Daffodil Delight. You sure can stretch the decorative paper when you use it like that!!
The words are from the Perfectly Penned set. It's such a pretty font and it went well with the Mixed Bunch images.
This card was fun to make (even making 4 of them at the same time)! As I look at it though, I think the Daffodil Delight could have used some texture. It just seems to flat, smooth and dry looking. I'll keep it in mind if I ever make anymore of these!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
Beautiful card and I love the Happy Birthday font stamp.
