Flowering Flourishes Meets Petite Pairs

I have found that the Petite Pairs set is one of my "go to" sets when I need wording that will fit in the 1-3/8" circle area.  I was thinking of making a greeting card set and holder with this image.  I may just do that later today.  I have made a HUGE mess in my workroom (like anyone would notice!!!).  Why is it you have to make a bigger mess to clean one up?  I opened up the storage closet and was pulling "stuff" out so I could organize what was in the boxes and sort through some things to make room for the other things that are piled up in the workroom.  UGH!  It's endless!  I just can't seem to throw anything out and I find it difficult to put stuff in another box for a future garage sale.  I just don't like to part with my "stuff."  What if I need it sometime down  the road?  And then there's that other side.  The one where you look at the item and how long you've owned it and haven't done a thing with it yet.  I hate looking at that side!!! LOL  So that is what my afternoon consisted of!! But by evening my workroom will be cleaned up and I will have a full garbage and a box or two of garage sale stuff of which I will be pricing this week so it's all done when the sale happens!  The last garage sale we had we discovered that the blue painter's tape works best for pricing stuff. It comes off nicely on everything you stick it to.  So no more battling with those awful mailing labels or actual garage sale stickers!

Ok, lets talk about my card now.  I used Chocolate Chip card stock for the base of the card and for the layering.  Very Vanilla was used for the rest of the card.  I stamped the Flowering Flourishes image using Chocolate Chip ink. I ordered a new pad and I LOVE them.  It will be a VERY long time before I replace them all, mine are still in very good condition.  Fortunately the new ink will work on the old pads (but not vice versa).  So that means I can keep my old stamps until they show wear like the Chocolate Chip one did. These new pads are FABULOUS and the images are always nice and solid each time you stamp!  Ya gotta LOVE that!

The wording on my card is from the Petite Pairs set.  I added some pearls to the flourish and under the wording and that was it for embellishing.  It really didn't need a lot because I wanted to keep it clean and simple looking.  Plus it would make a great card for a Stamp-a-Stack or a Make n Take.

The image area measures 3-1/2" x 2-3/4".  The layer behind it is cut 1/8" more.  The circle for the scallop is the 1-3/8" one.  That scallop was set in place using Dimensionals.

And last but not the background was textured using the Dotted embossing folder.  And that was it.  SO simple, so quick and so clean and elegant looking!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Stunning. So clean and simple. I love that new flourish. And speaking of cleaning, I've had a room full of IKEA shelving in my craft room and I want to take pictures to post, but I can't seem to organize it enough. LOL
