Masculine Birthday CASE Card

I was blog surfing and wound up at Inkspired Treasures run by Connie B.  I saw this card and there was something about it that just called my name.  She has a color challenge every week but I don't do them.  I have too many other things going on and I can only do the Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at SplitCoastStamers. I would love to do other challenges but I just can't at this time. As fun as they look I have to tell myself no!  

I didn't play along with this challenge.  I  just copied Connie's card, sort of.  Well, mostly!  I used the colored decorative papers that I had and I also turned the card upside down.  With the stripes and polka dots it just looked funny the other way.  Turning it worked and I liked the outcome.  And because the ribbon is a knot and not a bow I can use this for a masculine birthday card!! These really are great colors for a guy card!
