I was playing with the "Hand-Penned Holidays" set and I was in awe of the "Merry Christmas" one. The font is just SO pretty and elegant!
I had stamped it on the card stock using Cherry Cobbler. I layered a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock behind that and set those layers on top of a half sheet of Whisper White that was folded in half on the long side.
I had stamped and punched out the trees and I hand cut the tree stands. I could have stamped them but I don't like to do that because even with the Stamp-a-ma-jig I get them crooked. And sometimes the ink isn't quite right either. SO I stamped a bunch of them and cut out the best ones.
I set the trees in place on the card and after I was all done I wished I had moved the words up just a bit. But I wasn't quite sure where I was going with the whole card in the first place. I don't remember the name of this set. It belongs to my sister and when she put the set together she didn't put the labels on the wood blocks nor did she add the name of the set to the side of the container. And I tried to find the set (but I didn't spend a lot of time hunting) and had no luck. SO if you know the name of the set just leave it in a comment on this post.
This card didn't take very long to make. The trees were punched out which saves a LOT of time! I may give stamping the trunk directly to the card a try sometime but I'm still not confident enough to do it. I hate it when I ruin a card front!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
