I finally got to play with the "Beautiful Season" set. I have been sitting on this set for a while now and today's sketch had a large enough panel to use this set. What I really liked about this sketch is the large panel plus the layers. You know how much I LOVE to play with layers. This was a very fun card to do once I got going on it. I normally cut the Basic Black card stock and then I find the colors I want to use and lastly I stamp the image and color it. This time I knew what image I wanted to use and I stamped it and colored it. Then I struggled with finding what colors to use. Once I found the decorative paper (from the Frostwood Lodge pack) the other two colors were easy to figure out.
I sponged the edges of panel #4 using the Garden Green ink pad. After sponging it I thought that panel needed something more and that is when I sponged in some Daffodil Delight around the image. And some times I got the Daffodil Delight on the image and that was ok too.
It didn't show up very well here but I did use Dazzling Diamonds on the berries. I thought they could use a bit of a sparkle and I think it added a lot to the card.
It was a very fun sketch and I will use it again sometime in the future when I have larger images I need to stamp!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
