I thought I would share with you today a bracelet I had made. On Tuesday I ran over to Bead Basics (where I teach) to pick up some of the new beads they got in. These beads came from a mix. I purchased #11's, #8's and a tube of mixed sized ones. There were tiny bugles, drops, cubes and very tiny #15's in that mix, plus the regular size beads. I dug out a pattern I had and played with it to make it work with these beads. And this is what I ended up with. I plan to give this to my sister. She starts a new job on Monday and this will go with a lot of the clothes she wears. She won't be getting it before Monday though. I will be dropping it off at Bead Basics so it can be on display for a few days.
This bracelet was a lot of fun to make. Though I do have to say, I have never done the herringbone stitch with bugles before. It was interesting and fun, plus I LOVE how they look with this. It helped to give that look of undulation to the bracelet, along with pulling the thread tightly at the right spots too!
Fun, fun, fun is all I can say about this bracelet. I wish I had more time to bead! I found the pattern for this at Bead Maven's.
I will have something stamped for you to look at tomorrow. I wanted to share this with you today. I was not able to stamp today, I am putting together those technique pages!! It's a race with the clock!
Thank you for stopping in today,
Wanda
