Vintage Vogue Birthday Card Sketch Challenge

Oops, my background for this card is kind of blah.  I wanted to do a white on white card.  I was going to use a large white butterfly where the flower is but it was just too much white and it got lost in the card.  So I took out the "Vintage Vogue" set and stamped the large flower using Pretty in Pink ink.  I then cut the flower out and sponged the edges with Regal Rose.  I added a large pearl to the center of the flower and then (I obviously wasn't thinking) I added tiny pearls all around the large one.  One at a time!!!  I know, I know.  I told you I wasn't thinking!!! LOL  Click on the photo to view it closer.

The words are from the "Sincere Salutations" set.  And I did work in a tiny little butterfly on the top petal of the flower.  I also added a couple of little pearls to the butterfly.

My card isn't all that great.  Now that I see it in the photo I think it's kind of blah.  Even with each layer having a different texture.  I should have added a scallop border along the left side or at the bottom of the square layer.  I may just do that and slip it under that polka dot layer.  It just needs a little something more.  I may remove that top layer and make the card into a notebook.  There's enough space at the side for the coils and it won't take away anything from the layout.

Sorry I can't show you the sketch.  It was added to SplitCoast as a PDF file.  You can check it out here if you want to see it.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Wanda, I think that this card is just lovely. Up close, I can see how pretty it really is. I don't think that you need to do anything else with it. Thanks for sharing it with me.

  3. Oh, I love the pop of pink on the flower and the black layers. White on White is hard to do however, I love the finished look of them.
